In this talk I will present the theory of collective modes supported by the Fermi liquid in graphene. Central to this theory is a multi component Fermi liquid theory for graphene, including the effects of the lattice symmetry and band geometry. I will show how this theory is used to elucidate the nature of the spin-valley response and the role that band geometry plays in the observation of related collective modes.
